BALTIMORE, MD (2/14/12) — CampaignON, which blends technology and professional campaign management skills to create an affordable way to run effective local political campaigns, has formed a joint venture with Weiss PR Associates, Inc. to create CampaignON PR.
CampaignON PR will handle all aspects of public relations for political candidates who are clients of CampaignON.
“Getting the word out about a candidate’s positions is a critical component of any successful campaign,” says CampaignON President Herbert J. Sweren. “Working with Weiss PR will enable our clients to take full advantage of all opportunities to position themselves favorably in front of key audiences. And the PR services will be offered within an easily affordable fee structure that promises to be far more cost-effective than hiring a public relations firm on the open market.”
Weiss PR – a Baltimore/Washington-based public relations firm which has extensive experience in handling strategic communications planning, media outreach, public affairs, and crisis communications on a national level – was founded in 2008 by two senior members of a national public relations firm, Ray Weiss and Jessica Trzyna.
Sweren developed the idea for CampaignON with fellow managing partners Barry L. Silverman, a former advertising executive who has handled numerous local political campaigns, and Dennis F. Rasmussen, former Maryland State Delegate, State Senator, and Baltimore County Executive.
The CampaignON management team also includes Robert M. Infussi, Sr. in the position of Senior Political Advisor. Infussi brings to CampaignON clients a well-earned reputation for managing winning campaigns, securing crucial campaign funds and mapping decisive strategy for candidates and incumbents on both sides of the aisle.
CampaignON melds integrated software technology, creative marketing, and strategic advisory services into a single, economical package, Campaign Manager Solutions™ to level the playing field even against well-funded opponents.
“Too many times, we’ve seen the best candidate lose out to an opponent whose only real advantage was money. In fact, national statistics show that the candidate who raises the most money wins 80 per cent of the time. That has to change,” says Sweren. “If we want the best leadership in Washington, we have to start by electing the best candidates, not the best funded candidates, on the local and state level.”
The Campaign Manager Solutions™ software suite includes: Strategy Monster™ (which breaks down a candidate’s jurisdiction by likely voters and displays by percentage and numbers their party, age, gender and 16 other categories); Voter Monster™ (which organizes door-to-door canvassing and shows street-by-street how each voter voted in the previous election); and Precinct Monster™ (which manages the campaign’s election-day strategy).
Other key parts of the CampaignON technology package include V-Mail and email centers, polling, video town hall, a website builder, and E-Communications Software which gives candidates access to the leading social media applications.
“Our slogan is ‘We Do Victory,’” says Sweren. “Obviously we can’t guarantee victory, but without any question, we absolutely will guarantee that if a serious candidate follows our game plan, they will be hands-down, the best candidate in the race.”
